Overgrad is most effective when utilized on an ongoing basis. The platform is able to provide students the most accurate snapshot of their progress and ideal next steps when their goals and data are as current as possible. That said, we know that time is the most precious currency in schools. Therefore the manner and frequency of how students use Overgrad varies from school to school based on their schedule, program, and goals.
In general, we recommend that, at a minimum, students log-on at least 1-2 times a year to input their most recent course grades, test score results, and post-secondary goals. Utilizing the platform more often is suggested and beneficial, but not necessary. Additionally, given the web-based nature of the platform, many students access their accounts outside of the school building.
Below you'll find a sample "scope and sequence" for 9-12 grade, including minimum use recommendations, along with examples of best practice use.
